New Cat Game Just Dropped: Schrodinger's Cat Burglar Is Out NOW on Steam! (And a giveaway if you keep on reading…)

Okay, let’s admit it. There’s a lack of adorable cat games on the market right now. It’s not that there are too few cat games; it’s just so many of them have the same genre. While all of them are equally adorable and relaxing, sometimes you just want to play as a cat, doing cat things.  

One of the most popular ones that lets you play as a cat was Stray, which was released back in 2022. I remember how it took the internet by storm, and people have been waiting for more cat games. And after 4 long, catless years, we finally have Schrodinger’s Cat Burglar on Steam! 

Developed by Abandoned Sheep, Schrodinger's Cat Burglar lets you play as a professional burglar kitty named Mittens, who can 'split' herself in two. And no, it's not because she was born with mystical superpowers! On one of her missions, she is tasked with infiltrating 'Flagrante Johan Data Processing and Plumbing Solutions' - suspected of hiding something sinister. There, she is trapped by the robotic security hound and funnelled into animal containment. In her attempt to escape, a machine called the Dual Event Synthesizer suddenly activates, and she is granted the gift of quantum powers, thus gaining the ability to exist in both a positive and negative quantum phase at the same time!
 

The game is based around a central quantum mechanic: at the press of a button, Mittens can split into two cats, who can each be controlled to solve puzzles and cause trouble. BUT THERE’S A TWIST! The quantum superstate obeys Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle:  when nobody is looking, Mittens could be in either location. If she’s observed, however, things get theoretical… 

• Pass through doors (that could theoretically have opened).
• Avoid security detection (you can’t see what doesn’t exist!).
• Quantum mechanics plus cats. No strings attached!

Not only that, but you can also knock things off shelves, and even bust out a bunch of cat emotes to get the full-blown feline experience!
