Does anyone know if the new "Be More Alien Athletic Socks" are thick and warm (winter style) or are they light and thin (summer style)? Also what's the materials they're made from?

Does anyone know how the Flux Artifact actually works, like do I need it equipped while earning the hours, resulting in losing other artifact perks everyday, or do you just need to equip it before the event ends to add to your total?
