i will wait for gamers nexus review, j would sell his own grandmother for a few dollars. there are other youtubers saying it thermal throttles
MARSM4N - 04.25.2025 01:36:06
@Nemen7 tomsHardware also did a review, thermals should be absolutely fine. Just look at all the fans. Only complains I see is the nutty price tag, proprietary PSU/mobo & missing rubber feet. And of course the limited CPU/GPU choice.
easyrhino - 04.25.2025 05:23:14
i mean it's not completely proprietary mobo/psu now right? that's the point? except you'd need adapter kit if you get cables
Nemen7 - 04.25.2025 13:19:50
gpu sag bracket being propriety is ridiculous, its fully upgradeable with dell parts only kinda kills the pc spirit of freedom
Fruit Punch Samurai - 04.25.2025 15:55:18
Oh, despite pointing out the flaws with upgrading this "standard" PC, the AWA homepage indicates Alienware loved the review.
MARSM4N - 04.26.2025 08:03:48
@easyrhino Proprietary in the sense that you can't use the PSU with a standard ATX mobo, or vice versa. But the case is now ATX compatible, plus there are adapter cables available for the front panel & fan hub.
MARSM4N - 04.26.2025 08:19:12
@easyrhino The sad thing is that a 12V system apparently would be the more efficient & cheaper option. There are talks & rumors for years, but the DIY tech industry just couldn't agree to move on.
MARSM4N - 04.26.2025 08:27:39
@Nemen7 Agree. The GPU anti sag bracket is so good, it totally should become standardized. Or DELL could provide a universal adapter for standard GPU's.
