We're officially close to the endgame with Windows 10 suddenly becoming "obsolete" this year in October! It's unfortunate news because some of us either haven't already upgraded, or can't, and are forced to do it soonest. There's alternatives without forcibly using this OS but only for those willing to finally switch teams. It'll feel totally weird not using my Acer Nitro 5 (2018), with its GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and 32GB of RAM anymore someday because it's been a journey with my first and only gaming laptop.

Correct me if I'm wrong but just because it's end of life doesn't mean you still can't use it. I ran XP and then 7 for as long as I could. I'll do the same for 10 since I don't need AI or Screenshot Monitoring bloatware.

Nobody is forcing you to upgrade, just keep using Windows 10. Windows XP reached end of life in 2009 and I kept using it until 2017. Win 7 went end of life in 2015 and I used it until 2023.

So doesnt that just mean, I wont get forced upgrades that sometimes mess up my system forced down my throat anymore? I will stick with Win 10 until Microsoft brings out something better.

As long as your computer isn't connected to the internet, you can keep using Win10 as long as you want.

There are a couple of ways to add a year of updates. You can enroll in Microsoft's ESU program for $30, or take advantage of two free enrollment options. You can either use Windows Backup and sync your settings to your OneDrive account or r

Switch to Linux and get out of Microsoft's ecosystem. Linux has far superior operating systems without bloatware, adware, spyware or subscriptions built-in. It also supports a wide range of apps and games (except Valorant and Apex).

I'm not even joking about switching to Linux. There's a lot of people demonstrating how to switch, what to look out for and how to have a good time. On YT: SwitchandClickOfficial SAMTIME Jayztwocents and <mention></mention>michael_tunnell r
