Friday already (at least for me), and I still can't validate the Team Fortress 2 quest. Even though the game is on my account (and even though I'm playing), its presence is never detected. Update: After playing the game several times, the quest launch screen on the website eventually displayed "Start Quest" without any further synchronization request. I'll run it again this weekend to validate the quest.

I think it's because the games aren't being synced properly. For example, I don't have "The Finals" listed in the choose your own game steam quest and I have zero hours listed on the community milestone. I blieve there's a correlation there

That happened to me too. I recommend playing for an hour and then closing the game, after a couple of hours the option should appear to be able to complete the mission (that is, play again for another hour).

Not sure but I had it on Ignore, but when I took it off it started to count for both

Yes apparently the Valve games are getting particularly skittish for some reason. But so far, "play over 1h then close, give a while to update then check AWA" has worked every time to fix this.
